Why see Richard Herring?
Richard, He's Only Got One Ball...
You may know him from his hit comedy podcast, RHLSP, and while he's been tickling our ears for many years now, Richard Herring is ready to make us laugh live as he sets out on his first live tour in six years. Detailing his experience with prostate cancer, the excellently titled Can I Have My Ball Back is a typically Herringesque mixture of black humour and silliness, with a good old bit of existentialism thrown in as he joins the big leagues of one-ballers, including Lance Armstrong, Nigel Farage and Hitler. First coming to prominence back in the day as the juvenile foil to Stewart Lee in the double act Lee and Herring, going on to write with Chris Morris, Amando Iainucchi, and more for radio and television. A regular fixture at the Edinburgh Fringe, Herring is also known as a pioneer of the comedy podcast, making his first foray into the genre in 2008 with the Collings and Herrin pod in 2008, before developing Richard Herring's Leicester Square Podcast in 2012, which remains a mainstay of the charts to this day.
